Image of the Day with the Wedding Community

The Wedding Community 
Back in May, gosh seems so long ago, Heart wedding was asked by the wedding community to supply one of my images from a recent wedding that was held at the Aviator Hotel in Farnborogh, The hotel is situated very close the airport just outside the town centre. The Aviator hotel its self is quite spectacular, and a sensational venue for a wedding. Photography here is challenging as once your inside the ambient light is very low, so loads of iso required, My sincere thanks go to Helen and Darren and of course all of their wonderful friends and family, this was a wonderful day. I must admit I was complete drained by the time we had driven back home, but well worth it. My thanks also to my partner in crime Nigel Pullen, Thanks Nigel.

Kate Holmes, the shot that nearly got away

Kate & Dan Holmes have ask me to design their wedding album creating a story from the images of the day. More recently I find that clients prefer me to design their wedding album without the clients having to choose images for themselves, of course when the proofs are presented to the clients may adjust one or two images but that fine, one of the key benefits here is my clients enjoy the experience, anticipation and excitement of what the album will look like, and of course saving them time. The above image was created with influence from the ice society.

Heart Wedding Advert for the "I Will Magazine Autumn 2011

Hi everyone, this is my first draft for my Autumn 2011 Spring 2012  "I WILL" Magazine, my main thoughts were to keep it clean and to the point, the image features Mrs Kate Holmes, I was very fortunate to shoot her wedding in beautiful South Wales, The shot was taken in the grounds of Aberglasney Gardens, Kate chose this venue for her bridal portraits. If you ever get the chance to visit the house and gardens they are stunning. For photographers the best light is under the house portico, and the garden archways. for group shots, in front of the house ( Light permitting) or at the top garden, this has a gorgeous panoramic view of the house in the background. Also a great location for pre-wed shoots.

Kate & Dan's Wedding Day May 28th 2011

Earlier in the year Kate & Dan enjoyed a wedding day pre-shoot in Aberglasney gardens  in Carmathenshire, we had some great early spring weather, the rain kept at bay, and we had some great shots, Kate & Dan chose one of those images to be mounted in their signature frame,. Signature frames not so popular in South wales, so the guests where thrilled to be able to offer their best wishes as a permanent reminder to Kate & Dan in their home.

The Day started at Kates father's house, in Gowerton Swansea, the church resides in a gorgeous small village just north of Rhos called Cilybebyll, tried to pronounce several times, not easy to get right. Kate decided some time ago to have some photographs taken at Aberglasney before we rejoined the guests who where patiently waiting outside Kates and Dan venue at the Cowdor Hotel in Llandeilo. The choice of venue was perfect, I really must say the wedding breakfast was outstanding. Kate & Dans Guests demanded to see the chef who deservedly received a standing ovation when they entered to room, never experienced that before. The wedding day went like clock work.
