Rebecca & Darren Wedding Preshoot in Arley

Early spring, gorgeous flowers, wonderful sunshine, white fluffy clouds and blue sky's was the back drop to Rebecca and Darren's preshoot in Arely. Although we had the most gorgeous weather :-) the wind made it feel quite cold, we decided to try and keep out of the full wind which was coming up the severn valley and stay within the walls of the Italian garden, However, we still needed our jackets.

Rebecca & Darren will saying their "I DO's at the Mill Hotel in Arley on 26th May, "Heart Weddings" have photographed several weddings at the Mill hotel which always produces some great photographs. Here is a selection from the shoot, complete with the local wild life and flora.

Katrina & James and Baby Isla. My First Heart Portait.

Katrina & James are one of our Heart clients who have recently had their first baby. At a little over 9 weeks Isla has experienced her first tiny photoshoot. Katrina and James are one of the most relaxed couples we have ever had the pleasure  of meeting, such loverly people. Baby photography is something that we have been planning to offer our clients for sometime, and due to the regular requests that we receive, we have finally taken the plunge.  The shoot was at Katrina & James  home in Sutton Coldfield, no lights, no fuss, just pure natural light. we feel that the whole experience was a more comfortable and convenient than a going into our studio.  Take a peek, enjoy.

Claire & Jonathan Wedding Day at the Stone Manor Hotel, Stone.

Hi everyone, Good friday was just perfect for Claire & jonathan wedding day at the Stone Manor Hotel, Stone Nr Kidderminster, the weather was very kind when you consider what we had several days earlier. The venue was gorgeous as normal.  This is a closing shot for you as a peek. I will blog some more images laster this week. Happy Days :-)

Shooting Spring blossom by Day or by Night

Last night I was testing a new Rotolux softbox for my quadra kit, wow the light is just stunning, these images where taken at approximately 7:30pm finished at 8:pm. The reason I was shooting flowers was I had not other subject available so I though why not.  Settings where 1/80th f5.6 200 iso, quadra at 1/4 power triggered by skyport. The images are strait out of camera the blue sky was saturated by under exposing the ambient by 1/3rd to 1/2  a stop. In some of the images you can see a cobweb, also a star in the sky which is slightly blurred. So this demonstrates that you can shoot pretty Things  by night or by day. Next time she will be blonde.  Enjoy.
